Why Theatreworx
-
We keep our classes fresh, fun and engaging whilst getting to know each of our students individually and we pride ourselves on our ability to provide an environment where students can have fun while achieving social and personal development among a host of other benefits.
-
TheatreworX Stage School has been a leading provider of Performing Arts to students from 3 to young adult for over 25 years. In this time, we have crafted what we believe to be the highest quality programmes for young people interested in developing their skills in this field.
-
We provide professional, quality and value-for-money training for students which will develop the core fundamentals of acting, singing, and dance.
-
Our programmes offer a host of benefits to participants, which extend well beyond that of simply teaching them performing arts skills with numerous studies showing that children who attend classes in the Performing Arts have increased confidence, poise, and discipline. We will help develop these essential life skills.
-
We stage an annual show in the Helix Theatre in which all students perform.
Dance
Let’s Do It
Our dance classes focus on a mix of hip-hop, modern, musical theatre and commercial dance. This helps our students develop co-ordination, agility, rhythm, spatial awareness and poise. There is an option to progress through a series of accredited and professional examinations.
Drama
Time to Act
Our drama classes focus on characterisation, improvisation and dramatisation. This enables our students understand how to build a character, and helps develop spontaneity, imagination, focus, confidence, verbal, and physicality. There is also an option to progress through a series of accredited and professional examinations.
Singing
Let's Hear You
Our singing and musical theatre classes encourage creative expression through musical theatre pieces and through group/ solo singing. This helps our students develop an understanding of stagecraft, performance, discipline and team work. The focus on voice, performance, projection, listening skills equips our students for stage and for life.
